For an indulgent moment for TV fans.
- The Bachelor, season 16, episode 9, (had to look it up--we don't keep up with that show any more) the Switzerland hot tub scene was filmed on the porch of the chalet we are staying in! Anita showed us the business card of the Field Manager and told us all about it. But she hadn't seen the episode, and I couldn't find it on the 'net. The links said it was not available outside of US.
- Amazing Race - last year (2012) went up to Jungfraujoch and also rolled cheese in Grindelwald which they did an episode 5 years ago also. Those episodes I could find and play for Anita on my Kindle. She immediately started recognizing local villagers in the show, one of whom had just been here tonight having a beer!
BTW - We liked it so much here we stayed a 2nd night instead of going to AlpiGlen.
